Atcham in Flood, Shropshire

The media I used for this painting is acrylic.  

I travelled to Atcham in Shropshire when the floods were at their height.   It was a gloomy stormy day.   I sat and sketched in the pouring rain just putting down enough information to  later capture the scene in paint.

On my return I painted quickly with as much immediacy as possible in order not to lose the excitement of the moment.
